What height do I need? The height that you need is dependant on the hoist that you are looking at. If you have low roof height, we recommend a scissor lift over anything else as it will allow you to lift as high as possible without any over heads which might hit your ceiling. Our hoist information is on all of the drawings (located on each product page). Keep in mind that you must add the height of your car to the maximum lifting height of the lift to get your head height. Whilst this is the absolute maximum height, you do not have to go full height on your hoist if you are not able to. You can operate the hoist within the heights you have available. Although you are doing so at your own risk, as there is no "set maximum height" function on any of the hoists aside from the manufacturers limit switch (set to the specified max lifting height). Our 2 Post Clear floor hoists have an overhead, this is always the maximum height, you do not need to add your cars height.

Can I Install the hoist myself?Yes... If you are installing the hoist on your own, you will not be covered by warranty for any incorrect installation. You will also be solely responsible for any incidents if you install it yourself. - Our Mid-Rise Scissors are 80% pre-assembled and are very easy to put together with basic hand tools. - The 3.6T Car stackers are a bit more involved but is possible to install with a couple of people to manhandle the platforms and basic mechanics tools. - Our 2 Post Hoists are more involved again and require a higher level of mechanical knowledge. To install correctly you MUST be proficient with the levelling of the posts, shimming and bolting (Need access to a tall ladder or EWP). - We recommend that all 4 Post Hoists and Full Rise Scissors are installed by a professional due to their involvement.
-
What concrete thickness do I need?As a general rule of thumb, the thicker the concrete the better. But generally, a hoist of less then 5t lifting capacity requires 120mm. And a lifting capacity of 5t or greater requires 150mm. ****CHECK YOUR HOISTS SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS ON IT'S PRODUCT PAGE****
-
What if my concrete isn't thick enough? If you do not have the required thickness for the hoist you are looking at, it's possible to upgrade the section of concrete where the hoist is going. You do not have to replace the whole slab or a large area, this will save you lots of money. We offer concrete upgrades as a part of our install package. Just reach out for a quote and we would be more then happy to help.
